A Centre of Sporting Excellence
The Kingsgate Park Project, as part of the Southern Campus Development, will deliver
a new centre of sporting excellence – a state-of-the-art complex that will meet the needs
of Wykehamists for generations to come.
The Sports Building (6868 sq. metres) is split into three separate ‘pavilions’ that comprise
the sports hall, swimming pool, and the fitness suite. The total cost will be £40,973,000.
Sports Hall

The eight court sports hall has the
largest footprint and has been located
centrally to reduce its impact on the
general setting. This also includes
the rifle range which will cost
£2,240,000.
Swimming Pool
(1392 sq. metres)
£9,858,000
The new 6-lane 25 metre swimming
pool will include tiered seating for
150 people, ensuring that it meets
Amateur swimming Association and
Sports England recommendations.
Fitness Pavilion
(2313 sq. metres)
£14,221,000
This building is spread over three
floors: the six squash courts and
changing rooms are on the lower
ground floor; the main entrance and
the viewing areas looking down onto
the squash courts are on the ground
floor; and the six fives courts, the dojo
and the studio are on the first floor.
