Nurturing this talent and encouraging boys to push on and excel is an
equally dedicated team of staff – Masters in Charge of Sport, who as well
as being skilled sports players in their own right, work alongside dedicated
professional coaches of the highest calibre.
These include: Jason Dodd who played for
Southampton FC for 16 years, captained the
team for eight and ran their Youth Academy for
five; cricketer Paul Gover, England under-21
captain, level 3 coach and County under-15s
coach; Rob Moore, three time Olympian with
239 GB/England caps for hockey; as well as
squash professional Richard Atkinson, the
School’s first full-time soccer professional
Lew Chatterley and former international
karate competitor Simon Budden, who
have coached our boys for many years.
