Kingdom Connection Devotional - Week 1 MONDAY | Page 2

Happy New Year and welcome to your Kingdom Connection for Monday, January 1st 2018! I pray that each of you brought in the New Year safely and spiritually and if not, at least you are here today ready to kick your New Year off right! I’m Minister Angela and I’m so excited about this YEAR and not just for myself but for you as well. The topic for this entire month is the concept NEW. This week will dive in New Beginnings, on week 2 The New You, then on week 3 New Deomons, never think for one second you are going to increase in God while Satan sits by idle! Then we will close out the month with NEW Victories.

One of the most interesting aspects of the concept of new is its' exact contrast- OLD!

We can’t appreciate New, we can’t be grateful for New, we can’t get excited about New, we can’t love New, we can’t tell others about NEW, we can’t dream about New, we can’t hope for New, we can’t long for New, we can’t wait for New nor can we embrace New without something first becoming OLD.

It’s our old car that makes us appreciate our new car. It’s our old dead beat relationships that make us grateful for the new exciting ones. It’s our same old position at works that makes about dream about a new job opportunity. It’s our old things that prepare us and gear us up for the NEW.

NEW is to not to be taken lightly. New is not to be taken for granted. New, in fact, should help you become something different if not better. Old doesn’t nor can it create that effect on us. It’s the newness of something that stimulates, excites and pushes us and we all need that. And that’s just in the natural.

God is into New Beginnings. And this week I want to drive home the impact of the new. Many of our situations are not going to change without the right perspective of the New. Many of our goals won’t stand a chance without the appreciation of the new and many of our deliverances will never occur without the strength that is available in the new. How we look at New and this New Year is paramount.

One thing we all must learn to do as children of God and citizens of His Kingdom is to love what God loves and cherish what He cherishes. This is a part of becoming like Him. This is what transformation and the renewing of your mind entails If He’s into new beginnings then we should be too. If He sees significance in creating new things and new beginnings then we should too and if He sees fit to give us new things we should graciously accept and wholeheartedly embrace the newness He presents.

On today, I wanted to begin with the beginning of time as we know it; the creation of the world and mankind. The first book of the Bible is called Genesis. Genesis means beginning or origin.

The first verse tells us who the originator or creator is and what He did. Genesis, Chapters 1 and 2 walks us through the creation, establishment and the order of everything God made, known to us. From day and night, to the beast of the field, to His prize creation which was the only thing made in His image – mankind. First the male then the female.
