Post Primary Provision

Children of post-primary school going age are accommodated in the local secondary school. A transitional timetable including practical classes (Construction, Art, Drama, PE, and Cooking) and EAL classes is provided.

Adult Education Provision

Adults attend Kildare FETC for four days per week, and are assisted by an interpreter to participate in a programme covering the following themes:

1.Living in Ireland

2.Food & Hygiene

3.Money Management and Services

4.Accommodation and Transport

5.Education and English language training (ESOL)

6.Working in Ireland, applying for work,

training agencies, Irish culture, Irish government

and citizenship

Speakers from the Garda Liaison Office, DSP/Community Welfare Officer, OPMI, TUSLA, Kildare Co Council and HSE compliment the programme.

This high quality service could not be achieved without the support of the KWETB team and partners who provide a caring, nurturing and safe educational environment which supports these migrants in finding a peaceful place for this part of their journey to safety.
