The new Further Education and Training Course Hub www.fetchcourses.ie was launched by Minister for Education and Skills, Richard Bruton TD on August 25th.
For the first time all Further Education and Training courses can be found in one place. It is an enormous benefit to the potential learner to be able to search all courses from unaccredited to Level 6, part-time and full-time across all provision.
The website was developed by SOLAS and ETBI, the courses are populated by ETBs through the National Course Calendar (NCC). To date, KWETB has over 500 courses scheduled on the National Course Calendar offering 8,000 places. As well as populating www.fetchcourses.ie, the NCC links with the Department of Social Protection’s databases to allow direct referrals to our courses.
The National Course Calendar forms part of the Programme Learner Support Service (PLSS) which is named as a priority in the recently launched ‘Action Plan for Education 2016-2019’
