The KWETB QQI West Wicklow Annual Awards Presentation took place in Tulfarris Hotel on the 19th October. A large number of students from Blessington Further Education and Training Centre, Baltinglass Further Education and Training Centre and outreach provision in St. Kevin’s Community College, Dunlavin gathered to receive their Certificates. Receiving awards were students from the ABE, BTEI, VTOS and Youthreach services and awards were presented across a range of QQI modules from component awards to major awards from Level 3 to Level 5.

The night commenced to the beautiful sounds of Club Ceoil na Lochana which is part of the Music Generation programme. Councillor Jim Ruttle, Chair of KWETB was in attendance, along with Catherine Byrne, Adult Education Officer, KWETB, to present the certificates and awards to the hard working students who were cheered and congratulated by family members and friends.

Certificates were presented for various IT /Computing modules, Healthcare, Childcare, E Business, Communications, Horticulture, Business, Maths, Cultural Studies, Biology, Work Experience, Communications, Personal Effectiveness, Career Preparation, Mathematics – the list is endless. The night is a joyous and fun night where students gather with family and friends to celebrate the journey of learning, education and training. Well done to all!
