Buildings Update - 2016

Glenart College, Arklow

The new school which is built to cater for 710 students is now completed and works are continuing on the external playing areas including the playing field and hardcourt areas. The old school building (Arklow CC) has been demolished.

St. Kevin’s Community College

The school has been approved under the Department of Education and Skills six year plan for an extension to cater for a long term projected enrolment of 700 students with construction in 2018. Department officials have recently visited the school and a Schedule of Accommodation is currently being prepared.

The school also received provisional approval in conjunction with Donard Glen Camogie Club for funding under the Sports Capital Grant for construction of dressing rooms.

Coláiste Chraobh Abhann, Kilcoole

The school has been approved under the Department of Education and Skills six year plan for an extension to cater for a long term projected enrolment of 800 students with construction in 2018.

Avondale Community College, Rathdrum

The school has been approved under the Department of Education and Skills six year plan for an extension to cater for a long term projected enrolment of 750

students with construction in 2019-2021.

Coláiste Bhríde, Carnew

The school has been approved under the Department of Education and Skills six year plan for an extension with construction in 2018. The Schedule of Accommodation is now awaited from the Department of Education and Skills.

Blessington Community College

The school has been approved under the Department of Education and Skills six year plan for an extension with construction in 2018. The Schedule of Accommodation is now awaited from the Department of Education and Skills.

Scoil Chonglais, Baltinglass

Provisional funding under the Sports Capital Grant has been approved in partnership with Baltinglass GAA club for an all-weather pitch.

Coláiste Raithin, Bray

The new school is on target for completion as part of Public Private Partnership Bundle 5, circa late 2016/early 2017.
