Carnew Further Education and Training Centre recently relocated

to new premises on Aughrim Road, Carnew.

The new Centre has made a huge difference to staff and learners alike,

and will allow for the development and promotion of KWETB’s Further

Education & Training service in South-Wicklow. It comprises a designated

computer room, large classrooms, a canteen, office, toilet facilities

and ample parking for staff and students.

Since 2012, Carnew Adult Learning Centre, now Carnew Further Education & Training Centre has been facilitating learners from South-Wicklow under the Back to Education Initiative Programme (B.T.E.I.) in pursuing the FETAC/Q.Q.I. Level 5 award in Healthcare Support. During that time, approximately fifty learners have achieved accreditation/full awards on this course. The B.T.E.I. programme has enabled participants to return to education and gain employment in homecare, nursing homes and general hospitals as Healthcare Support Workers.
