National Learning Network – Bray continue their series of ‘My Career Journey’ talks

In January, Bray NLN were lucky to have three local business owners give inspirational talks about their career journey to students and staff.

The three employers were Graham O'Neill, Editor and Publisher of Wicklow Voice, Carlow People and Dublin Voice; Robin O' Sullivan, Personal Trainer and Fitness Exchange Bray; and Pat O’Suilleabhain; General Manager, National Sea Life Aquarium Bray and Vice President of Bray Chamber of Commerce.

The speakers shared their experiences and insights with students and staff. In their talks these professionals demonstrated that career paths are rarely straight forward. They described their journeys and the unimagined twists and turns along the way.

While each speaker had a unique journey, two things were always common: the passion for their business and people, and the importance of bouncing back when things don’t go to plan! By sharing their experiences and observations from the world of work, they gave invaluable insight and inspiration to those present, who may be following in their footsteps someday! The purpose of these talks is to help students make informed decisions about their future careers.
