As part of Wellness week,

the music students of St. Kevin's CC are proud to present

the Lou Reed classic,

Perfect Day.

Curragh Post Primary School, under the leadership of PE teacher Andy Goff has has become involved in The Sky Sports Living for Sport project. The project is based on the Six Keys to Success that top athletes identified as enabling them to achieve success in sport in partnership with the British Athletes Commission to help young people develop valuable life skills that will help them in and outside of school, now and into the future. The 6 keys to success are;

1. Mental toughness

2. Hunger to achieve

3. People skills

4. Sports and life knowledge

5. Breaking barriers

6. Planning for success.

The Curragh Post Primary School's project will aim at increasing students' confidence to participate in Physical Activity in an enjoyable way so as to encourage students to incorporate it into their daily lives as part of a healthy lifestyle. Jenny Murphy of the Irish Women’s Rugby team is the professional athlete mentor to Curragh PPS.

Jenny scored the winning try in Irelands dramatic last minute win against Scotland in the opening game of the six nations on 3rd February. She generously took time out of her busy schedule to visit our school on the 20th March for an initial visit. She met with students to plan a tag rugby workshop. We are excited to see what she has in store for our students.
