On the Coast – Families Issue 96 I October/November 2019 | Page 47
When did you last
update your Will?
LOSING a loved one is
extremely difficult, but
it
can be made even
harder for the
family if a Will is not
prepared.
Statistics reveal
more than one million
Australians over the age of 50 and more
than five million people over the age of
25 do not have a Will.
Having an up-to-date and legal Will is
the only way to ensure your requests are
carried out correctly and in accordance
with your wishes after you die.
Many people avoid talking about it,
but having a Will is important for the
future family and loved ones.
The Salvation Army is turning
attention to this often-neglected part
of life by offering the Central Coast
community the opportunity to have
a simple Will prepared or updated by
a professional solicitor for the highly
reduced rate of $50 per Will ($100 per
couple).
Our Community Wills Day is an effort
to address some of the confusion and
anxiety around making a Will, while
also raising funds for the Salvos’ social
services on the Coast!
The Salvation Army Central Coast Wills
Day will be held at Mingara Recreation
Club on Friday 16th November (8.20am
– 6.00pm). Places are limited and
bookings essential. To secure your place,
please phone 4325 5614 or email Maree.
