taking other children’s emotions into account. Making friends is not a priority for them and they would rather lead a group or do group activities. Our wind children need some firm guidance to use their power in the right way. PARENT TIP: Wind children are born leaders and it might be helpful to give them extra responsibilities in the house and lots of choices. Praise them for their leadership abilities and guide them to use their “energy “in a positive way. The “Earth” Child to fire a bomb under them to get them moving. Earth children like structure and are natural peacemakers. They are loyal, good friends and think before they speak. As earth children they are spectators of life and you will see them happily watching their friends play rather than joining in themselves. They are able to stay calm in difficult circumstances and can control their emotions and therefore don’t easily get angry. PARENT TIP: Earth children feel more emotion than they show, and parents should put in some extra effort to help their children to put emotions and needs into words. The “Sky Child” You may have an Earth child, when she is solid and stable and a quiet introvert. Just as the earth is a supportive environment for trees to grow in, so do other children like to be close to your supportive child. They are quiet, good listeners, and can have a dry sense of humour. Earth children are low in energy, introverted and do not show a lot of emotion. You might struggle to get your child to finish his/her meal as they are slow eaters, nothing rushing them and it might sometimes feel that you need If you have a child who likes to be the centre of attention, full of glamour, sunny and shiny as a star, you will know you have a Sky child. Sky children have warm, lively and joyful personalities. They are very charming and are brilliant storytellers. Sky children get easily offended and angry, but that won’t last for long and they will quickly forgi ve people around them with the problems soon forgotten. Decision making is mostly based on feelings and not analytical thinking. Sky children are social little beings, easily make friends and have the ability to make other people feel special. They struggle with self-motivation and to complete tasks. The Sea mum may shake her head many times for her disorganised child’s messy room. PARENT TIP: As a parent you will need to bring variety in their life. Sky children love fun and need room to move and to have the opportunity to be silly and a having a willing audience applaud them. When it comes to motivation to do something, the Sky child will most likely choose the “fun way”. If you have a Sea child, she will go with what is the “right way” and your Wind child will be motivated to do anything as long as it is “her way”. Earth children will choose the path of least resistance and choose the “easy way”. By knowing our children’s temperament styles, we can develop their positive traits and improve on their areas of growth with compassion to form their own unique character.
