Revenue Opportunities - Meeting property owner needs and raising revenue at the same time is also something I would like to expand. The Kiawah Shuttle Service, backflow program and plant sale are the products of creative thinking that increased KICA’s revenue. I would like to foster the kind of teamwork that can result in more successful programs of this nature. Protection of Environment/Preserve Kiawah Experience The Kiawah environment is precious to everyone. As habitat becomes more limited with the build out of the island, I would like to help maximize habitat richness in every way we can. I would also like to see KICA pursue the most cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly uses of land, energy and water. My work with the League of Women Voters confirmed my belief in the importance of obtaining the facts and understanding the benefits and drawbacks of any course of action. I also understand the importance of providing multiple avenues whereby everyone can participate in the process.
