Celebrate Kiawah - Saturday, April 30
Join your neighbors for this annual social celebration of KICA members poolside at the Sandcastle with light hors d’oeuvres and
beverages, live music and dancing. More details to come.
Summer Programs, the Castle Grille and the Sandbar
Summer programs include fun in the sun and activities for both the young and the young at heart. Kids’ Crafts will be offered
at 2 p.m. each Friday for children ages 4-12. Youngsters can learn to hang 10 at our Surf Camp - held weekly by Tidal Trails, a
KICA partner. Come celebrate our nation’s independence on the Fourth of July with live music from Dave Berry, a traditional
American buffet, and the annual kids parade around the pool.
The Castle Grille and Sandbar open regularly for the season on Memorial Day weekend at the Sandcastle. Enjoy a flavorful lunch

Dogtoberfest: Dogs, Dine and Wine - Saturday, Oct. 22
The 10th annual Dogtoberfest: Dogs, Dine and Wine event at Freshfields Village will feature a variety of pet-related vendors,
pet rescue organizations, a wine tasting, beer and delicious food trucks. Spend the afternoon at Freshfields enjoying fun events
like a pet costume contest, a blessing of the animals, live music and great prizes. Proceeds benefit the participating pet rescue
organizations. These groups provide food, shelter, medicine and care for rescued dogs, ultimately finding “forever homes” for

Autumn Oyster Roast at Rhett’s Bluff - Saturday, Nov. 12 from 6 - 9 p.m.
Shuck oysters, dine on delicious food and sip on your favorite libation under the stars at KICA’s annual Autumn Oyster Roast at
Rhett’s Bluff. The event will feature local oysters and other Lowcountry favorites, as well as live music.

Visit the Sandcastle’s spring and fall Art and Artisan Showcase, where talented local artists, crafters and photographers will display
their unique and original works for viewing and purchasing. From gallery-ready watercolors, to festive scarves, to fine chocolates
