Year in Review - The Big Picture New Referral Directory Helps Members Find, Review Service Providers With so many options available in the Charleston area, choosing a business or service provider can be difficult. KICA’s new Member Referral Directory launched in September with a goal of helping members identify service personnel. The directory provides service referrals for local businesses directly from your fellow property owners. It allows members to explore a variety of services - from home to auto to health and more – recommended and rated by other association members. The directory is divided into specific categories, for whom property owners have shared a positive experience since July 2014. All listings are approved by KICA and have been submitted by property owners, either directly on the directory site or through the KICA listserv. Listings are searchable and contain details on the provider/business in addition to comments (when available) by property owners. These are not paid listings; businesses are added only when recommended by a homeowner who has experience with their service. “Property owners often ask us to recommend a plumber, electrician, roofer, and other service providers,” said KICA COO Jimmy Bailey. “While KICA cannot recommend specific businesses or providers, this new tool lets members hear directly from their friends and neighbors on Kiawah.” To view the Member Referral Directory, visit referral.kica.us.
