Summer Programs
Summer programs include fun in the sun and activities for both the young and the young at
heart. Kids’ Crafts will be offered at 2 p.m. each Friday for children ages 4 - 12. Also, look for
information on our summer holiday activities, like the Red, White and Blue Bash on July Fourth.
Dogtoberfest Pet Expo
This fall, pets are invited to bring their people to the annual Dogtoberfest Pet Expo! Last
year’s event raised over $5,000 for the cause of animal rescue, featured approximately 30
vendors and organizations, and was attended by over 700 people. Join us in 2013 for a wine
tasting, blessing of the animals, on-site vendors, live music, a pup costume contest and much
more. All profits will benefit participating rescue organizations.

Kiawah Island Artist and Artisan Showcase
Make plans to visit the Sandcastle’s spring and fall Artist and Artisan Showcase, where talented local artists, crafters and photographers will display their works for viewing and purchasing. From gallery-ready watercolors, to festive scarves, to fine chocolates – this event has it all!
Spring Showcase: Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6
Fall Showcase: Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9

• Jan. 21 - Presidential Inauguration viewing and potluck luncheon
• Feb. 12 - Fat Tuesday Celebration with live dueling piano show
• March 17 - Member Excursion - St. Patrick’s Day trip to Savannah
• May 10 - Kiawah Goes to the Dogs - Our World-sponsored Riverdogs game
• Dec. 4 - Sandcastle Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Social
