Member Input Sought as Board Unveils Preliminary Amenities Plan
As most property owners are probably aware, KICA has been working
for quite some time on upgrading the quality and type of amenities it
offers its membership. In 2011, the board organized the Amenities and
Services Task Force to evaluate KICA's existing offerings. Then, in early
2013, the board hired an independent consultant, the McMahon Group,
who held several community focus groups and distributed a survey to the
membership. All of this research highlighted what our membership values
most and how it rates KICA's current amenities and services. Based on
the survey results, the board tasked a committee with developing potential
recommendations to upgrade our amenities and services.
The board has developed a preliminary master plan for improving our
amenities. While it was done thoughtfully and thoroughly, the board
recognizes that the membership must weigh in at an early stage to
provide input for developing the master plan before it is submitted
for approval. To help achieve this input, KICA is hosting a series of
meetings where the preliminary master plan will be presented, along
with ranges of potential future assessments.
Member sessions are scheduled over a five day period, beginning May
1. To reserve a seat, please contact KICA Member Services at 843-7689194 or [email protected]. Seats are available at the locations and
times to the right. Please note that if you cannot attend a meeting,
the plan information will be mailed to all property owners later in
May. The objective of these meetings is to gather community input and
publish a revised master plan later in the year.
