Draft Conveyance Policy

the spirit of those responsibilities, the KICA
Board of Directors put forth a draft conveyance policy in
late February 2019 for community input. The policy will
be reviewed at the board’s March 4 meeting.

master developer’s right to unilaterally convey property to
the association expired.
The policy includes specifics on how the process works
for both infrastructure and landscaping, including
the timeline for inspections and the appeals process.
Landscaping conveyances, which require the immediate
commitment of resources, may require a delay in order
for these to be included in the association’s budget. The
conveyance policy does not apply to the property referred
to as Captain Sam’s Spit, as the developer will not attempt
to transfer common property in that neighborhood to
KICA.
This policy is meant to ensure that infrastructure or
landscaping conveyed to the association is at a standard
consistent with the overall quality on the island.
