REGENERATIVE MEDICINE
THURSDAY, DEC. 13 | 3 P.M.
In 2013, Charleston
Animal Society launched
one of the boldest
animal initiatives ever
undertaken – build a No
Kill Community in the
Deep South! This 3-year
initiative, called No Kill
Charleston, was achieved in its first year. Joe
Elmore, Charleston Animal Society’s CEO, will
discuss how Charleston Animal Society built an
international model for lifesaving success. Dr. Stephen Duncan looks for
the diseases that don’t affect
many people, especially those
for which there are few, if any,
effective drugs. A leader in the
emerging field of “personalized
and regenerative medicine,”
Dr. Duncan is focused on the
use of the body’s own stem cells to fight disease.
