Newspaper hockey game
Aim: To enhance cooperation, group cohesion, creativity and coordination.
Instructions: The group is divided into two equal teams. Two 'bats' are made by rolling up newspaper. The
teams line up facing each other and about three metres apart. A screwed-up newspaper 'ball' is placed in the
centre, at an equal distance from each team. Team A numbers off, one, two, three, etc., starting from the end.
Team B numbers off similarly, but beginning from the opposite end from team A. Consequently, the number
one child in team one will now be facing the child in team B who has the highest
number. The leader places the two newspaper 'bats' on either side of the newspaper
'ball'. The leader then calls out a number. The children with that number race to
the centre, pick up a bat and hit the newspaper ball to a designated goal at the
end of the room, while their opponent attempts to hit the newspaper ball to their
team's designated goal at the other end of the room. The team with the most goals
wins.

in the air as possible.
Mark a line between the two teams. Have an equal amount of children holding
the edge of the blankets on either side. The aim is to get the ball off the blanket
onto the other team's blanket without dropping it. Decide on the amount of turns
