Discussion: - How did you experience playing with your mother? - What was the best part of your time with your mother and why? - What part of the activities did you not enjoy with your mother? Why? - What did you learn from today's activities? - How do you think you can have fun with mom when you are at home? - How do you think you can make helping mom at home fun? 2. Climbing up the Tree exercise. BACKGROUND FOR THE FACILITATOR The purpose of today's activities was that the mother and her child get to spend time together, so that they can get to know each other better and so that they can find ways to strengthen their relationship when they are outside of the project. In addition, they are given an opportunity to start practicing their skills they have learnt from the previous sessions, for example: decision-making, problem-solving, asking for help and interpersonal skills. ASSESSMENT - Did the mothers interact and communicate with their children? - Did the mother-child pairs interact and communicate with other mother-child pairs? - Did the mothers and children show cooperation? HOMEWORK Ask the mothers and children to think of a game they can play together, and to tell the rest of the group about this game the next time they meet.
