Experiencing China
Experiential Learning is an important component of Keystone’s academic framework. It
includes field trips, service to the community and other activities that constantly expand the
boundaries of learning beyond the classroom. In the 2014-2015 academic year, students had
the opportunity to travel to various Chinese provinces to explore, experience and understand
China. Grades 4 and 5 explored Pingyao in Shanxi, grade 6 traveled to Xian in Shaanxi, grade
7 experienced Zhangjiajie in Hunan, while grade 8 journeyed through Longyan and Xiamen in
Fujian and grade 9 traveled through Suzhou in Jiangsu and Hangzhou in Zhejiang provinces.
