ay6 D 10 April, Flight to Bhaktapur John J. and Gabrielle Today was a very big day for each of us. We woke up at around 6.30am, got packed, ate breakfast, and left the hotel for the airport. Many of us were amazed that a small town like Lumbini had an airport. Finally, at around 9.30am we boarded a very small plane. We were all super excited about the flight; the plane was so small that our group took up the entire plane, except for two other passengers. During the flight we were able to see the entire Annapurna mountain range. The view was so beautiful, magical, and wonderful. Once in Kathmandu, we went to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is one of the oldest areas in the country. There are many ancient temples and buildings around. We visited a famous paper factory where all the paper is handmade. We also visited the Pottery Square, and had a chance to walk around the old, narrow streets for souvenir shopping. We bought all types of goods, such as Tanka paintings, scarves, and singing bowls.
