and Music
Every day, we’re dazzled by sights and sounds:
some shallow and fleeting, some deep and
enduring. Some are organic and spontaneous,
some painstakingly created. By developing
our understanding of the power of audio and
visuals, we’ve learned to harness them for the
purpose of creative expression. It’s how we
inform, entertain and persuade one another.
Our Film, Media and Music courses immerse you in historical
and contemporary creative expression from around the world.
You could explore a range of genres, historical periods and
international perspectives, looking at interconnected themes
like culture, technology, language, globalisation, consumerism,
politics and postmodernism.
You’ll take a critical approach to understanding the technical,
intellectual and creative elements of others’ work but,
depending on your choices, you’ll also have the opportunity to
develop your own pieces through hands-on experience. You’ll
graduate with a wide range of skills plus the outlook and
approach you need to build an exciting career in these fields.
