At Keele, our Philosophy course benefits from cutting-edge research and offers a friendly and nurturing environment, allowing you to explore the latest ideas and develop critical thinking amongst your classmates. You might del ve into subjects from poverty and power to pragmatism and metaphysics; and with our lovely campus to wander around on, you won’t be short of space to think. Our Education course explores education from different angles, from how it affects people’s life chances to how it shapes their identities. It perfectly integrates into other areas of study, such as social policy, management, philosophy, sociology or history. You’ll be set for a career leading to teaching, following further professional study, or other work in schools, in community work, in educational leadership and management, or further academic study. Philosophy gives you new outlooks on life, everything in it and what is means to exist. Even if you haven’t studied the subject before, the course is designed so that you are gradually introduced into the different theories. Education is brilliant because not only do you learn about the history of our education system and how it has changed over the years, but you learn about how different children learn, the impact play has on children and the research that has been conducted within the subject. 68 Book an Open day keele.ac.uk/visiting Find out more info keele.ac.uk/ug
