Chemistry
Chemistry is the ‘central science’; disciplined in
experimental approach, highly creative in thinking
and life-enhancing in impact. The contribution
of chemistry to our modern world ranges from
advanced materials in gadgets, and high-tech
materials used on the International Space Station,
to life-saving drugs.
Study Chemistry at Keele and you’ll examine the fundamental
structures of matter, explore how chemistry interfaces with fields
including biochemistry, molecular biology, physics, neuroscience,
geoscience and more.
You’ll spend plenty of time in our superbly equipped laboratories,
featuring first-rate computational and instrumentation facilities
and will also develop research, problem solving, presentation
and communication skills, preparing you for your future career.
