Psychology and Sociology 2012

I'm currently finishing my PhD in social and health psychology at Keele University. My PhD
research has explored how older people and younger people in a community can work
together to benefit health and wellbeing. The research is supported by Keele University as
well as Stoke-on-Trent City Council and the Beth Johnson Foundation. The research draws
upon critical social psychological theories and action research methods. This has built upon
interests, theories and methods I studied during my first degree in Psychology and Sociology.
Promoting social justice through research and action is something I've enjoyed being able to
do through my PhD at Keele University and is something I hope to continue to do.
