Learning Disability Nursing, Third year
If you are thinking of studying nursing, it is important to be passionate about
the care, health and wellbeing of your clients. Nothing is more rewarding
than knowing at the end of the day you have made a person smile or made
a difference. The workload in terms of assessments and exams can be very
demanding but worth it in the end. Stay positive, focused and enthusiastic.
The three years does fly past, you won’t believe it! I enjoy being in a community
placement area especially one that involves any clinical skills. It enables me to
actively put my theoretical knowledge into practice and learn from my mistakes.
