Skills and careers
Study abroad
A degree in Criminology and Psychology will allow you to study the
human mind and behaviour and gain an understanding of crime,
criminals, and how society defines and responds to them. You can
combine an award accredited by the British Psychological Society
with the in depth study of crime and its causes from a range of
perspectives, social, historical and legal as well as psychological.
Yes
Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to develop and
demonstrate skills that are valued by employers and prepare you for
life in a rapidly changing world. The ability to find and analyse data,
to think clearly and creatively, to communicate effectively and to
work both independently and as a member of a team are important
skills required by employers today. Many students who study this
combination find their degree useful for careers in probation,
community work, victim support, drugs and addiction centres and
other occupations across the public and private sectors. Many
graduates go on to further study at master’s level and beyond.
