Newcastle-under-Lyme has a friendly and welcoming
atmosphere, and is the closest town to campus. It has
a modern shopping area, four major supermarkets
within walking distance of the bus station, and a daily
market selling everything from fruit to furniture
10 minute drive or 40 minute bus journey
Stoke-on-Trent City Centre is great for shopping,
culture and nightlife. The Intu Potteries Shopping
Centre has over 90 high street shops, department
stores and a traditional market.
The 8 screen Vue cinema is in the centre of town
and surrounded by restaurants, stylish bars and
traditional pubs making for a great evening out,
especially on Student Night Thursdays.
Jubilee2 is close to the town centre, offering
state-of-the-art fitness facilities, a 14 metre climbing
wall and a 25 metre competition swimming pool.
Within walking distance of the town is the New
Vic Theatre, with major productions designed and
presented in the theatre-in-the-round.

In the Cultural Quarter, the Regent Theatre plays
host to the very best drama and musicals direct
from the West End, the Sugarmill is great for live
music and the Victoria Hall is a popular venue on
the comedy circuit.
In the Potteries Museum you can see the famous
Staffordshire Hoard, and get up close to a full size
Spitfire. A short bus ride from the city centre will
take you to the Britannia Stadium to watch Premier
League football at Stoke City, or to Festival Park to
watch the latest films, play ten-pin bowling or brave
the slides at WaterWorld!
