Additional requirements
Candidates who are successful at the initial stage of selection will be required to satisfy
Occupational Health, and Disclosure and Barring Service clearances. Candidates who have
concerns about any criminal convictions, cautions and/or reprimands, however long ago they
may be, are strongly advised to contact the school for guidance (01782 679600). All such
information will be treated in confidence. The University follows the DBS Code of Practice in
these issues and can provide a copy of the code on request. Please see the School of Nursing
and Midwifery Admissions Policy on the school website for details of entry conditions.
Candidates must also provide evidence of minimum residency requirements and meet
English language requirements.
Entry requirements
All candidates for Pre-registration Nursing and Midwifery programmes are required to meet
or exceed Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements, including literacy and numeracy
skills. A minimum tariff score of 280 points may be offered in the following way. The exact
tariff score you will be required to meet will be determined by your educational profile and
your individual application.
