Fieldwork and study abroad
Fieldwork is an essential part of your training and is designed
to enhance class teaching, and develop field observational and
recording skills. Current fieldwork opportunities include several
courses to areas within the British Isles and major overseas field
courses to Spain and/or Iceland. These field courses will not only
help you to discover and explore classical geological locations and
different geographical environments, but will help you to put into
practice the skills gained in practical classes and put theory into
action. You will also have opportunities to study abroad through
exchange programmes with universities in different parts of the
world including South Africa, Australia, Canada and North America.
