Entry requirements
Visa Requirements
So you have made up your mind to apply and you want to
make an application. We have tried to make the process as
easy as possible. Although of course, we do have to meet
all legal requirements, so there is some form filling and
submission of certificates that we have to ask you to do for
us! We have tried to make the application process as easy as
possible through our online application form.
The particular entry requirements for each course are on the
Keele website www.keele.ac.uk/postgraduate
As a general rule, you will need the equivalent of a UK
honours degree at second-class standard or higher, and an
appropriate English language qualification. We will be happy
to advise on the acceptability of your qualifications before
you apply.
English language requirements
Applicants must show evidence of English language
competence, for example GCSE English Language at
grade C or above. International students must obtain an
IELTS score of at least 6.5 (with no sub-test lower than
5.5) or hold a previous degree which has been taught and
examined in the UK, unless the specific entry for the course
indicates otherwise.
If you are an international student, further information
about immigration and visa requirements can be found
at www.keele.ac.uk/visa. If you apply to Keele and are
offered a place, further information about what happens
next; including how to apply for a visa will be given in
your offer letter.
International Study Centre
If you are an international student and you find that you
do not match Keele’s postgraduate degree entrance
requirements, you may be eligible to take the pre-master’s
