POSTGRADUATE PROSPECTUS 2016 Campus life Life on campus… Our campus is self-contained, with student and staff residences, all teaching buildings (except for some health courses), the library, restaurants and cafés, shops, a bank, a sports centre and a health centre. The community spirit is what makes life at Keele special. The student population is relatively small by UK standards and as you make your way across campus you’re sure to bump into people you know, so leave plenty of time to get to lectures! Shopping As well as three campus shops, we have a newsagent, the Students’ Union Shop, Blackwell’s book store and Santander bank. There are also daily traders, both outside and on the ground floor of the Union, selling DVD s, CDs, books, posters and make-up. On Tuesday there is a Farmers’ Market so you can pick up fresh local produce. 88 Nursery Nursery The university has a purpose built nursery, registered with Staffordshire Social Services and Ofsted. www.keele.ac.uk/livingoffcampus/childcare A cultural centre We have a vibrant arts programme, comprising art exhibitions, music, poetry, performances and other cultural treats.
