requirements and the application process for taught
courses can be found on page 94. For research
degrees please contact the relevant research office.
Contact details can be found on pages 10 to 13.
Accommodation
The university provides accommodation for all single
postgraduate students paying overseas fees and who
apply for their accommodation by the specified date.
Please note, however, that rooms may not be available
for very late applicants and in this case you may have
to find accommodation off campus. Further details will
be sent to all students who apply to Keele.
If you are coming to Keele with your family we
recommend that you arrive on your own so that you
can view the wide range of properties that are available
(some will be off campus). We can reserve you a room
in our short stay accommodation whilst you look for
off campus accommodation. You can then arrange for
the rest of your family to arrive later. Please contact the
Student Accommodation Office (accommodation@
keele.ac.uk) to discuss your specific needs.
For further details on accommodation
please see page 82.
If your level of English is lower than required. Keele
may be able to offer you a place on a pre-sessional
English course prior to the start of your degree course.
The pre-sessional course is offered at Keele for 6 and 12
weeks prior to the start of the semester in September
2016. Longer courses are available at our partner
colleges – English in Chester and Walsall College.

Living costs will be largely dependent on your own
lifestyle. If you live on campus, accommodation
costs for 2015/16 were in the range of £4,000-£8,800,
depending upon the type of accommodation.
We anticipate costs for 2016/17 will be a little higher.
Other costs vary but we estimate that you will need
in total at least £820 per month, plus the cost of travel
to and from Keele.
You will also need approximately £250 for books.
Those not familiar with colder climates should allow
for an additional amount in the first year to buy
warm clothing.
