Overview We offer a postgraduate degree in social work, successful completion of which enables you to apply for registration as a Social Worker in England with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The MA Social Work, in addition to fulfilling the professional requirements, provides opportunities for you to develop your empirical research skills and to develop the analytical and critical thinking skills expected at master’s level. The programme will prepare you at postgraduate level for employment as a professionally qualified Social Worker and lays the foundation for your continuing professional development. It also provides an academically rigorous education at master’s level, focusing on critical, research and evaluative skills. In order to qualify, you will need to demonstrate the integration of knowledge, values and skills through academic study and assessed practice. recommended. Admission is via the UCAS website, followed by a written task, group exercise and interview at the university. We are unable to consider international candidates for the MA Social Work.
