Overview
The School of Life Sciences
has developed collaborative
relationships with a number of
international research institutes
and industries which has
enabled well qualified students
to undertake extensive research
training within the biosciences
and neuroscience areas. The
aim of these MSc courses is
to enhance the employment
prospects of science graduates
within their chosen research
discipline by developing and
improving their scientific,
laboratory and language skills.
The courses will provide you with
skills in vocational and education
training through your own work
programmes. To achieve this aim
you will spend the first semester
at Keele in preparation for your
extensive research project,
which is undertaken usually
from January until August.
Whilst you do have the option
to carry out this project at Keele
we do offer the opportunity to
undertake this training at one
of our international partner
institutes. International students
embarking on the courses are
encouraged to undertake their
research project at Keele. If you
carry out your research project in
Europe, the work undertaken and
achievement on the programme
will be documented in the EU
Europass, a record of achievement
signed by all parties.
Additional information
If you undertake a project in
another European Union member
state other than the UK or to
which you are a national, you may
be eligible for funding for the
period abroad via the ERASMUS
placement scheme. In addition,
there are a range of bursaries
available as a contribution to fees.
