Overview
The philosophy of our programme
is to broaden and extend
your knowledge and skills
within the field of neurological
physiotherapy and encourage
your personal and professional

will meet your individual needs
to review and evaluate the
background of the physiotherapy
profession and to integrate
this into your practice where
appropriate. The option module
allows you to suit your own
requirements in terms of personal
and professional development.
The Research Methods in Health
module and the Dissertation
module, together with Evidence
Based Practice or Assessment
and Measurement, develop your
research capabilities and critical
evaluation skills.
Our programme is designed to
provide opportunity to question
and challenge current practice
in aspects of neurological
physiotherapy, and enable you to
study healthcare, management
and rehabilitation of people with
neurological and neuromuscular
problems from a dynamic and
expanding perspective.
Additional information
You will learn through a range of
different learning and teaching
activities. These are led by a
variety of experienced authorities
in their field; therefore you

teaching experience promotes
interdisciplinary perspectives
and a holistic approach to
the management and
rehabilitation of people with
neurological conditions.
This programme will facilitate
your development of skills
that will strengthen the link
between theory and practice,
a sound academic core to your

Good to know
“A successful
blend of academic
excellence and
hands on experience,
combining theoretical
coursework, case
studies, group work,
which enabled me
to pull together
my experience as a
physiotherapist and
to expand on the
areas in which I was
most interested as
well as introducing
me to fresh ideas,
research and
concepts surrounding
neurology in
physiotherapy. This
quenched my thirst
for intellectual
stimulation and skills
improvement.”
