Keele University Prospectus Postgraduate | 2016 | Page 57
Overview
Our MA in Management seeks to
develop well-rounded, thoughtful
and reflective professionals
with excellent skills that will
enhance their career prospects.
The programme draws on
Keele’s rich history in adopting
a critical perspective towards
contemporary attitudes to
management, engaging with
debates regarding the future
of capitalism and the often
problematic relationship between
globalisation, organisation and
the wider social environment.
You will be challenged to engage
with tutors in such debates and
consider your own future role in
shaping business and society.
You are encouraged to apply for
opportunities to enhance your
experience through competitively
allocated student consultancy
projects where students learn
on the job. The Creativity and
Personal Development module
also promotes applied thinking
and engagement with real
businesses. The school is keen
to offer a range of opportunities
in any given year, but availability
cannot be guaranteed.
Additional information
Our teaching and learning
strategy draws on our academic
community’s commitment to
critical engagement with the
practice of business, reflected in
a range of theoretically oriented

Following successful completion
of the taught components, you

project through completing a
research dissertation or reflect on
everyday practice if successfully
appointed to a student
consultancy project.
