LAW Law and Society Overview Our LLM in Law and Society will allow you to gain a rigorous understanding of law and legal institutions from an interdisciplinary perspective. The LLM embeds excellent training in innovative methods, the acquisition of transferable skills and is genuinely interdisciplinary. It combines a set of foundational core modules in law and society with a flexibility choice of electives. The course is particularly attractive to emergent researchers who desire to pursue an intensive programme of study in law and society. Additional information Our introductory core modules will introduce you to the range of research methods that have been used in law and society scholarship broadly conceived. The modules will prepare students to undertake further modules from the diverse range on offer in the law school. The LLM consists of 180 credits, made up of 120 credit taught modules and a 60 credit dissertation. Applicants for whom English is not a first language must provide evidence of a qualification in English language, unless they hold a previous degree that was taught and examined in English. Minimum score is academic IELTS 6.5 (with no subtest below 5.5) or equivalent.
