POSTGRADUATE PROSPECTUS 2016 Humanities and Social Science Research The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is a vibrant research community of over 300 postgraduate research students and 200 staff, hosted in six research centres. We offer a research intensive, friendly and supportive culture for postgraduate study, set within a beautiful campus. The quality of our research environment was recognised in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), and we are a member of the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership. We offer PhD, MPhil and Professional Doctorate research degrees, and we have a Graduate Teaching Assistantship scheme for those interested in developing their teaching skills alongside their research.
