MA Marketing
Key Programme Features
The MA Marketing programme incorporates the latest
academic research into the study of marketing theory.
You’ll examine what it takes to be a Marketing
Manager and analyse the problems and challenges
of the role.
Your main focus will be on the
practical application of marketing.
This will be explored through
guest lectures, company visits
and the opportunity to undertake
an Applied Company Research
(ACR) project or a traditional
research dissertation.
Previous Marketing students have
worked on ACR marketing projects
including devloping an app for
a marketing agency and writing
a digital marketing strategy for
a city council.
Keele University has joined forces
with CIM to give students the
opportunity to gain professional
qualifications through the
CIM Graduate Gateway. CIM
qualifications are highly sought
after by employers, and their
content is reflected in our own
degrees which ensures we are
equipping students with the best
opportunities for a successful
marketing career.
The Chartered Institute of
Marketing (CIM) is the leading
professional body for marketers
worldwide and exists to develop
the marketing profession, maintain
professional standards and
improve the skills of marketing
practitioners.
“I wanted to specialise
my study interests
after undertaking an
undergraduate degree
in Business Studies.
I found the MA Marketing
programme offered a range
of modules to develop my
knowledge and skills.
After graduation, I hope
to either get a job within
marketing or branding using
the knowledge and skills that
I have gained from the course,
or use it to start a business of
my own. Overall, the course
gives me the opportunity to
access jobs within marketing,
management, consultancy,
branding, or academia.”
