No One More Ready To Serve Than Bellant
Detroit received money in 2010 from the Obama administration to help
homeowners who were behind on taxes, but much of that money has been used by
the city for other things. Michigan seemingly prioritized demolition over
foreclosure prevention and the state was without enough money to help new
applicants for foreclosure assistance for the first four months of 2016.
Detroit bankruptcy provided the opportunity to install an Emergency Manager,
work to destroy the Detroit Public School System and strip the city of its assets.
“Penske wanted Belle Isle. Five billion was taken from retirees, including
healthcare benefits and transferred to others. COLA was eliminated. Money was
taken from annuity savings accounts,” he says.
Honest, and detailed, there is no one more prepared to be a City Council Member
than Russ Bellant.
