Your works seem quite experimental. You combine paint, pieces of jewelry/junk, fabrics, torn images from magazine etc. Could you describe your creative process for us? Yes, I have several materials I use in my work. Plastic, wood, tissues, old cloths, pieces of jewelry, pieces of broken glass, older works done by me, imagery I collect from magazines, plastic or paper bags, pieces of rope even, also old books. Any appealing object, image or word... An expression can begin or become part of a painting... and then it's a big marvelous challenge to manage and construct a work from it. As I look at any object or image unconsciously, or even very consc iously, I construct puzzles that might work when mixed, integrated. It's like a mosaic. It's a seductive process that consumes my heart and brain. It is in any case a very intuitive process. I never ever ever plan or select images for a canvas... it all happens when I am working on it. Are there themes that you continue to explore through your collages? If so, what themes emerge time and again? I think there's a pattern somehow and it's stronger than me. Women and details of women. The feminine universe. I like to deconstruct an image and make the beauty prevail. The process is very seductive. Women in art are a theme I like to explore.
