"I was eighteen and I had a pair of cherry red shoes. I just loved the summer David Bowie's 'Let's
Dance' came out. I know that hardly counts as a real hard core Bowie fan, but it was through this song
I got to know him and his music.
To me, Bowie is a true artist in the complete sense, not just a musician. He is a true star, and one of
the few with the intelligence and the class to really assume his stardom and live it to the fullest. I love
how he re-invented himself time and time again, playing the main character of his own career, always
keeping us on the edge and dazzled.
