Tell us a bit about your poetry book 'A Sinner's
Philosophy'. Does it include works from different time
periods, or did you set out to do this book especially?
'A Sinner's Philosophy' is a collected work of different
periods. I tried to choose works that showed my rise and
fall in life, and to ultimately find love; true love.
How would you describe your poetry?
Open, honest, and always evolving. Words come to me, no
matter what they are, and I write them down.
Your poetry goes from truthful observations to visions of
romance to turmoil and anguish and wrestling with the
demons. To what extend are your poems
autobiographical?
I would have to say that a very high percentage of what I
write is autobiographical. A few, though, are merely
something that caught my eye.
Do you feel writing has helped you overcome things?
Yes, absolutely. I feel that writing is one of the best
therapies. I always feel a calm come over me when I've
written one of my darker poems. Where I felt pent up and
anxious before, those feelings fade when I write.
Reading your poems I get the feeling that you've gone
through hardships, it's embedded in the language and the
attitude and the reactionary lines. Many great writers
