Interview with N.O.M Interview by Esther Klung; Photos by NOM Entertainment T he three leters N.O.M stand for “Nature of Man”. he four members of N.O.M debuted in late 2013 with a new and somehow brave concept. Instead of debuting as just another boy group they combine catchphrases to a new identity, hoping to become trendseters. “hird sexuality”, “beyond man”, “Bi-sexual code”, those words spark the interest of an international audience. With shows in China and New York, just to name a few international appearances, they add a new view on Korean pop music to the international market. K-Colors of Korea appreciates the time that J.K., NIO, KOM and Q took to answer our questions. K: How and why did you choose the concept for your irst single? NOM: In fact,there are many reasons for men to wear high-heels and dance in Europe, but not yet in South Korea and Asia. It seems the reasons are cultural diferences. In Asia, high-heels are the exclusive property of women. We wanted to convey a wider culture in Asia with the Korean model choosing the high-heels every bit as good as Europe. K: In your introduction you point out the bisexual image you created.How do you feel about the way homosexuals get treaded and seen in Korea?
