n September last year I started my irst intensive
language course at Hallym University in Chuncheon.
here were many classes with diferent levels and
accordingly various teachers for these classes. hat I
was one of the fortunate students who were invited to
the wedding of their teacher was therefore pure luck.
Up until then I had watched Korean weddings only in
dramas and everything that I could remember were the
dazzling bridal gowns and a lot of nicely dressed guests.
Real celebrations like they are common in Germany and
probably other European countries as well seemed not to
