Heading into its third edition,
the Edinburgh International
Fashion Festival has already
made an impressive mark on
the international fashion scene,
engaging with the industry and
the city in a fresh, innovative way.
This year sees a further evolution
of the festival, with a series
of exceptional curated events
across Edinburgh.
INAA Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards
The INAA Scottish Hair & Beauty Awards is an
industry-endorsed event providing a great
opportunity for businesses and individuals to be
recognised for their excellence, flair, style and
dedication to their profession.
It’s the biggest calendar event within the hair and
beauty sector in Scotland, a country that has
produced some of the best talent in the industry;
think Rita Rusk or Trevor Sorbie, both of whom
have won the acclaimed INAA Scottish Hair
& Beauty Icon Award. This year, top sponsors
included SQA, St Moritz, Cloud 9, Kapello Hair
Extensions, and Art Deco Make Up.
The awards are run by I Need An Appointment
(INAA) whose mission is to make the world a
more beautiful place, one appointment at a time!
INAA lets you search hundreds of local hair and
beauty salons, and book appointments online.
This year almost 1500 salons applied and almost

50,000 votes were cast by the public. The 2014
awards ceremony also saw a host of celebrities
take to the red carpet including soap star
Michelle Keegan with her celebrity sweetheart,
Mark Wright, Ferne McCann of The Only Way
is Essex, and Amanda Harrington of Desperate
Scousewives. In addition, industry legend
and international superstar hairdresser, Sam
McKnight collected an award at the glittering
gala ceremony.
Over two weekends in July, the
capital will play host to a series
of runways shows, exhibitions,
gala parties and talks in some of
the most unique and beautiful
venues the city can boast.
International luminaries will sit
alongside local heroes as the
EIFF captivates the industry
and general public in original,
thought-provoking ways.
