This relatively new company is based in North Berwick and prides itself on creating artisan gin. We have been researching launching a gin for some time and we launched in October 2013. What do you love most about your job? Providing people with a product that they love. What has been your career highlight so far? Gosh, where do I start?! Launching a fantastic product which, within six months, was deemed to be one of the finest gins on the market. 22 informededinburgh.co.uk NB Gin is a relatively new company - what can we expect from you next? NB Gin is described as a ‘small batch, artisan gin’. What does this mean and what sets it apart from other gins? It is made in batches of less than 100 litres. It is handmade in North Berwick by my husband Steve. It is an uncomplicated premium gin and no part of the process or ingredients are ever compromised on quality. It is a real gin lover’s gin. ‘Gin is a relaxing, sophisticated drink that now appeals to all ages and genders.’ Gin has undergone quite a revival recently - why do you think this is? We have been overwhelmed by the market response to our gin so far. We are now exporting globally and we will be attending as many customer tasting events as possible. We have just launched to the Montpelier Group in Edinburgh so expect to see us at ‘Meet the Maker’ events in all locations starting with Indigo Yard on 3 May. Our new signature cocktail will be launched then so pop in to try it! People are becoming more discerning about the types of gin they drink and gin can have so many different tastes.
